During the last week of December 2019, QECI has held an educational program for the local rural children living surrounding Hara Biosphere Reserve at the Strait of Hormuz, eastern Persian Gulf. In this program, and during a range of practical activities, youngsters learned about the roles of the birds in protecting the wetland and promoting sustainable livelihoods of the communities living in its neighborhood. They also learned about the threats to the birds living in the biosphere reserve and the conservation measures that can mitigate the threats.
