Scientific adviser for sea turtles
Nick is a marine biologist with more than three decades of experience to save sea turtles all around the world, but mostly in the Indo-Pacific region, and particularly in the NW Indian Ocean. His specialty is in developing scientific solutions to conservation and working on reducing bycatch of sea turtles, dugongs and other marine endangered species. He served as the Co-Chair of the IUCN Marine Turtle Specialist Group for more than one decade, and currently is a Technical Advisor to the UNEP-CMS Dugong Secretariat and a member of the advisory boards of many international organisations. Nick is now based in Sabah (Malaysia), where he established and administers his own conservancy, the Marine Research Foundation.
